God's plan of salvation

Did you know that God has a plan for your life?
How can you get hold of this plan for your life?
Are you sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that when you die you will go to Heaven?

Many times when these questions are asked, people respond by saying, "Well, no one can know for certain. I will have to do my best and wait and see."
Did you know that the Bible is written in such a way that when you read it you will find that God has good plans and eternal life promised unto us. There are only a few things that you need to understand in order to receive this gift that God offers, which is eternal life and to come into His perfect plan for your life.
Jer 29:11 "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome." AMP
To get God's plan started in my life, here are four steps to follow:

Step 1: You need to understand that you are a sinner. All this means is that you have missed the mark of perfection, which is God's standard. How, you may ask? Well, before we can get to that I need you to understand that the sin that is in you, you were born with. So, if for some reason you think that you have lived a perfect life, you still fall into this category.

Rom 5:12 "Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned." AMP
Rom 3:23 "Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives." AMP

You see, we are caught in an imperfect state which is totally unacceptable to a perfect God. The Bible tells us that God, who is perfect as He is, is unable to even look upon sin (Hab 1:13).

Step 2: Now that we understand that we are sinners we also need to understand that there is a penalty for not being perfect. The penalty is death. I am referring to eternal death.
Rom 6:23, "For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord." AMP
You and I need to recognize that there is a punishment for not being pure, and it is death. There is, however, light at the end of the tunnel.

Step 3: God is perfect, He knows that we are in need of a Sacrificial Lamb. One that can take away the sin that we are in. You see, no matter what we try to do, whether it's being a good person that never hurts anyone, being religious, paying our taxes on time or how about we don't lie or cheat... it is NEVER good enough for God (Eph 2: 8-9). There is only one way to get right with God and that is by His Son Jesus Christ. God sent His perfect and Holy Son Jesus to pay the penalty of sin which is death.
Isa 53:6,10 "6All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. 10Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand." AMP
Step 4: Now that we understand that we are imperfect and sinful and also know that the penalty for sin is death (eternal death). We also see that God sent a sacrifice to the Earth to save us from this eternal death. This sacrifice is Jesus. Jesus will take away your sin if you believe that He came in the flesh, died on the cross and was ressurected from the dead on the third day.

All you have to do is believe and confess that Jesus Christ died for you and conquered death...!

Rom 10:9-11 "9Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.     10For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
11The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed." AMP
You may be asking, well how exactly do I do that?
It is as easy as praying this prayer:

God in Heaven, I understand that I am a sinner. I understand that I am not perfect. I need to get right with You and the only way I can do that is by asking You to be Lord over and of my life. I believe and confess that You came in the flesh, died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. I thank You for cleansing me and setting me free. I now ask for the indwelling and power of the Holy Spirit to transform and heal my life. I accept the wonderful gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus by faith. Amen.

Congratulations! You have been born into the Kingdom of Heaven and are part of a brand new family... God's family!

*If you have prayed this prayer today, then please contact us and let us know, that we may pray for you and encourage you in your new walk with Jesus*

Joh 6:47 "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life." AMP
Now that you are saved, you need to grow in and learn of the Kingdom of God. How to do that is by:
  • Seeking God through prayer and reading the Word of God (The Bible) regularly. See our post on links to God's Word.
  • Seeking fellowship with fellow born again believers.
  • Attending a bible believing Church.
